Duty

1. Narrated by the humble servant of One Islam, whose name means al-Haqq from Allah’s Apostle in vision, saying: “All that a pure believer needs is within the True and Holy Qur’an. This is the first. Honor the sacred deed (constitution) of One Islam second. Respect these authentic Hadith of Allah's Apostle and no other is the third. Finally, honor all other sacred scripture that respects Allah as one who loves all life, peace and wisdom. Never raise false sayings and false scripture above these four things.”
2. The Prophet said, “Allah gives men and women the ability to think, to reason and to choose. Therefore you yourself do not need to be told what is wicked and that which is true. If a person tells you to kill those who abandon the faith of Islam, if they tell you this is demanded by Allah then the gifts given to you by Allah should be enough to see through such evil and false scripture.”

3. The Prophet said, “The greatest sin, above all others is to kill in the name of Allah. If any saying (Hadith) contradicts this, then it is false.”

4. The Prophet said, “I have left two things among you, and you will not stray as long as you hold them fast; one is the true Book of Allah, the other the Laws of His Messenger as have been listed in this authentic Hadith.”

5. The Prophet said, “ Verily you are ordered by the divine commandments of the true Qur’an, then forsake them not; you are forbidden the unlawful by these truths, then do not fall therein; there are fixed boundaries, then pass not beyond them; and there is silence on some things without their being forgotten, then do not debate about them.”

6. The Prophet said, “ Happy is the Muslim for if good befalls him, he praises and thanks Allah; and if misfortune, praises God and bears it patiently; therefore a Muslim is rewarded for every good he does, even for his raising a morsel of food to the mouth of his family.”

7. The Prophet said, “When you speak, speak the truth; perform when you promise; discharge your trust; commit not fornication; be chaste; have no impure desires; withhold your hands from striking, and from taking that which is unlawful or evil. The best of God's servants are those who, when seen, remind of Allah; and the worst of Allah's servants are those who carry tales about to do mischief and separate friends, and seek for the defects of the good.

8. The Prophet said, “He who believes in Allah and the Hereafter, let him speak what is good or remain silent.”

9. The Prophet said, “He who believeth in Allah and the life beyond, let him not injure his neighbors.”

10. The Prophet said, “That which is lawful is clear, and that which is unlawful likewise: but there are certain doubtful things between the two from which it is well to abstain.”

11. The Prophet said, “The Faithful are those who perform their trust and fail not in their word, and keep their pledge.”

12. The Prophet said, “ No man is a true believer unless he desires for his brother that which he desires for himself.”

13. The Prophet said, “ It is unworthy of a Muslim to injure people's reputation; it is unworthy to curse anyone; and it is unworthy to abuse anyone; and it is unworthy of a Muslim to talk vainly.”

14. The Prophet said, “ It is better to sit alone than in company with the bad; and it is better to sit with the good than alone. And it is better to speak words to a speaker of knowledge than to remain silent; and silence is better than bad words.”

15. The Prophet said, “You will not enter Paradise until you have faith, and you will not complete your faith until you love one another.”

16. The Prophet said, “That person is not a perfect Muslim who eats his fill, yet leaves his neighbors hungry.”
