22. "Women"
|
|
1.
|
Praise be to Allah, the Wise, the Aware. |
|
2.
|
Oh, how Allah cries out in anguish at the lies to that which is woman! |
|
3.
|
Shame on you who gleefully jab out your eyes and stuff your ears with wool. |
|
4.
|
That you might say such wicked things against woman. |
|
5.
|
“She is less, Allah decrees it”, you say. Such falsity. |
|
6.
|
Yet there are those that will claim this to be the word of Allah. |
|
7.
|
“Truly it is the Qur’an no less that deems it so”, they chatter gleefully. |
|
8.
|
Rejoice then, for the world must truly be flat. |
|
9.
|
That we live in mud huts, |
|
10.
|
That the Sun revolves around the Earth and that the sky will one day fall on our heads! |
|
11.
|
Some of those who are Muslims change words from their context and say: "We hear and disobey; hear you as one who hears not" and "Listen to us!" distorting with their tongues and slandering religion. |
|
12.
|
If they had said: "We hear and we obey: hear you, and look at us" it had been better for them, and more upright. But Allah denounces them for their disbelief, so they believe not in truth, except a few. |
|
13.
|
Only men, cunning men would say such things, would claim such things of Allah. |
|
14.
|
Behold! Men and women are from the same source! |
|
15.
|
Do you not recall, or you men seeking to continue your wicked lies? |
|
16.
|
Behold! Men and women are equal! This is the command of Allah, no other. |
|
17.
|
Be careful you ignorant, you wicked men who still protest. |
|
18.
|
Be careful lest you lose all sight and function of manliness- a useless beast you shall become! |
|
19.
|
Allah shall not let you hold woman down any further! |
|
20.
|
She and she alone may call upon her emancipation, her clothing, her choices, her life. |
|
21.
|
Modesty is to her, not to you to enforce. |
|
22.
|
She is equal in every way. |
|
23.
|
To you men who choose to continue to be as pigs, so let it be. May you drown in your own filth, you spineless swine. |
|
24.
|
"We do this Lord because of Eve", some feeble men will cry. "We do this out of respect for your word". |
|
25.
|
If this be so, then let it be known that woman and all her progeny are forgiven. |
|
26.
|
Allah commands you- Listen all you who have ears.- Woman is the new covenant. |
|
27.
|
If it be so that the old covenant sealed the fate of all women to be less than men because of the loss of the grace of Allah and wisdom, let it be known that women shall symbolize the return of the grace of Allah to all his faithful and to all humanity whether they believe in him or not. |

28.
|
This is His word. Obey all who profess to be Muslim. |
